Body Sugaring

What is body sugaring?

Body sugaring is a centuries old hair removal practice dating back to the Ancient Egyptians.

By applying an all-natural sugar paste to the desired treatment area with an applicator, the hair is removed from the root in the natural direction of the hair, taking away hair, dead skin and congestion from every hair follicle, without the irritation.

This gentle technique significantly reduces the amount of pain normally associated with hair removal.

Benefits of Body Sugaring

It’s natural with no hidden nasty irritants
It’s much less painful than waxing
Hair can be removed as short as 1.5mm long
Ingrown hairs are virtually eliminated
Safe to use on all skin types and conditions such as varicose veins, psoriasis and eczema-prone skin.

Why You Will Love Sugaring

It's virtually pain free for regular waxers!

  • The sugar paste attaches only to the hair and dead skin cells.
  • It removes the hair in it's natural direction of growth.

I have been getting sugar done for over 3 months now instead of waxing.I find that sugar is MUCH less painful than waxing especially for bikini areas. My hair is growing back much more less than waxing and I am loving the difference. I find it more enjoyable and it is quicker and you can get it done when your hair is more shorter than waxing with great results. I don’t have to go as often and my legs , arms are so much smoother than ever. I have recommended it to my friends and I wont go back to waxing.
Love that I was first to try it...Thanks Ashleigh

After many years of waxing, having to get waxed every few weeks I was told aboutSugaring and how wonderful it is. After Ash thoroughly explained it to me I thought I'd give it a go. After my 2nd session I was totally hooked. My skin has never felt better before, until now. Process is less painful, skin is much clearer and less dry, the whole hair follicle is removed, there is no breakage, the hair doesn't grow back as quick as it did with waxing.
Thank you ever so much for introducing me to this wonderful procedure/products.
Totally recommend this to anyone!

I came to see Ashleigh for a course of sugaring treatments.
As opposed to waxing, where I would have the same amount of strong & stubborn hair regrow within around 1 month...with the sugaring treatments, my regrowth of hair was much more sparse & feathery.
With each treatment, my hair became noticeably weaker & more easy for Ash to remove. My skin also seemed less irritated by the sugaring. Important to note, I had waxed for many years, which I found to be a tolerable form of hair removal, but the waxing cost me countless dollars with no actual reduction/change in hair regrowth. Whereas with the sugaring, I noticed most of the aforementioned changes, from pretty much the 2nd or 3rd treatment (approximately 8 weeks in!).
Ashleigh maybe young, but she is very professional. She understands her product & provided the utmost discretion with my treatments!!
I am most happy to recommend BOTH the sugaring treatment itself & Ashleigh’s quality of service.

Frequently Asked Questions

It is less painful for many reasons but the main ones are:

Unlike waxing – it Doesn’t attach to live skin cells and therefore no sheets of live cells are ripped off in the removal.

The hairs are removed from the base of the roots not from their ends making any discomfort extremely short lived.

Hairs are removed much shorter meaning there is less length in the hair to give any pull factor as the root systems are extracted

The main differences are:
Most waxes are synthetic, whereas sugar paste is all natural. So natural its edible.
Sugar paste is water soluble and easily cleans up with warm water. If you make a mistake with sugar, simply wipe off and start again. If you make a mistake with wax, you better not want any hair in that area!!
With the sugar paste, it only removes the dead skin cells. No live skin cells are harmed meaning there is much less pain and little if any irritation. It also means people who have more delicate sensitive skin might not be able to wax, but can sugar.
The sugar paste is applied differently from the wax  - it Is applied against the hair growth to push the paste into the follicles, the body heat then reacts with the paste melting it further into the follicles, the paste then wraps around the root systems and then the hair is removed IN the direction of growth. This also means that it Can remove hairs as short as 1.5mm
